FAQ
Does Pento include backdated pay?
Yes, the backdated pay will automatically be calculated and added to the payslip as a gross addition.
Can the holiday pay calculation cope with carried-over holidays, such as someone leaving on the first day of the holiday year but carrying over 5 days from last year?
To account for carried-over holidays, you'll need to add the carried-over days to the entitled yearly holiday days figure. For example, if the entitlement is 28, you should put in 33. If you have a leaver, you'll need to add the days as a gross addition to their payslip.
How does the holiday pay work if there are incremental increases linked to the length of service? Do you have to include the extra days manually?
Yes, you will have to include the extra days manually. Pento will only calculate based on the figures you input into the holiday pay screen.
Can we manually add the holiday days to be paid so this shows up separately on the payslip if we calculate holiday pay outside the system?
Yes, you can! You'll just need to add this as a gross addition to the payslip and not enable the holiday calculation in Pento.
