Instead of pulling information from individual employee profiles to collate a report, UK Payroll allows you to export employee data quickly and easily.
How to export employee data
- From the left side bar, select Employees.
- Select Active or Terminated at the top of the page to determine the group of employees for your export purposes.
- Click Import/Export in the top right corner, and select Export employee data from the dropdown menu.
- Export all data: This will create a CSV file including all fields of employee information.
Tip: As this export option includes all data, it may contain irrelevant information for your purposes, and cause you to store unnecessary information on your device. Depending on your employee data requirements, it may be better to customize your data report. - Customize data report: This will create a CSV file containing only the exact fields of employee data you select.
- Export all data: This will create a CSV file including all fields of employee information.
- Click Export to begin downloading the file.

Can I filter my export to a specific time period?
This can’t be done directly through UK Payroll. However, if you set up a filter through the CSV spreadsheet to organize the information by Effective date, Pension enrollment date, or Hired on.
