Our main priority is to get your employees paid. From time to time, your pay day will fall on either a weekend or a Bank Holiday, this means that the payment to staff will be made on the last working day prior to the actual pay date in your Pento settings.
Your payroll draft will always show the actual pay date defined in your company settings, however you can see the date payment will be made in the Payments timeline on the summary page.
In the example above, the pay date is defined as the Last Working Day of the month, as this falls on a Sunday, the payment will be made on 29th October as per the Payments timeline
Please note – This will be the same for HMRC payments, if the 18th of the month falls on either a Weekend or Bank Holiday, the payment will be made on the last working day prior to the 18th. This will also show in the Payments timeline
