We know how important and beneficial being able to access information about your employees is, especially in a format that gives you complete control. So we’ve built a dedicated export function that allows you to do just that, without having to pull the information from each employee profile individually.
How to access the export
-
Navigate to Employees in the sidebar
-
Click the Active or Terminated tab at the top of screen dependent on what group of employees you want to export for
-
Once selected, click into Import/Export in the top right of the screen
-
Click Export employee data
-
You’ll then be presented with two options to choose from:
-
Export all data
This will create a CSV file and by default include all fields of information we hold
Top tip – As the export all option exports everything, it may contain irrelevant information and cause you to store unnecessary information on your device. Therefore using the customise data export option may be more useful to give you the exact information you need and care about.
-
Customise data export
If you’re looking to only deepdive into a specific set of data, this option allows you to select exactly what fields of information you want to be included in the CSV file
-
-
Click Export, and the file will automatically begin downloading
-
With this file you can import it into a spreadsheet application of your choice, such as Google Sheets or Excel, where you can then create custom formulas, filters and calculations based on what insights you want to get from that employee data
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I filter my export to a specific time period?
At the moment this isn’t possible directly through Pento, so a current workaround would be to set up a filter inside your chosen spreadsheet application on the relevant date column you’d like to filter by such as Effective date, Pension enrollment date or Hired on.
