If you use QuickBooks for your payroll journals, Pento offers an easy to use integration where your payroll journal will be automatically posted to QuickBooks each month.
Connecting to QuickBooks
To connect Pento to QuickBooks, please follow the steps below:

Navigate to Settings from the left sidebar

Under the Integrations heading, select Overview

You will see an icon for QuickBooks, select Integrate

A pop up should appear asking to confirm you want to integrate

Once confirmed, a QuickBooks' login screen will appear

Enter your QuickBooks login credentials, and select Sign In

Select your Company

Click Next, you should now be fully connected with QuickBooks.
Tip – If you are already logged into QuickBooks, it should authenticate automatically. If you are not logged into QuickBooks, you will be prompted to enter your credentials.
Mapping your chart of accounts
Once connected, you should be directed to the Integration settings screen.
Please note – Pento automatically retrieves your chart of accounts from QuickBooks, and maps them to each payroll item in Pento for you.
You will see mapping fields similar to the below screenshot. The fields on the left represent the fields on Pento, whilst the dropdown fields on the right represent the accounts on QuickBooks.
- Once reviewed and happy, click Save
Amending settings
To view/amend your settings and/or mapping, you will need to follow the steps below:
- Navigate to Settings from the left sidebar
- Under the Integrations heading, select QuickBooks
- Make the necessary amendments and Save
